Save your favorite summer herbs to use all winter long! Join us to learn the basics of drying culinary and tea herbs, and how to prepare vinaigrettes to elevate your fall dishes. Participants will take home an assortment of herbs to dry (thyme, oregano and sage), recipe cards, a tea strainer ball, and twine. The workshop will be taught by Groundwork Milwaukee staff. Join us at Solomon Community Temple for a preservation workshop. Make salsa with us as we talk about food preservation techniques to make your summer harvest last all winter! Save money and eat healthy through learning how to blanch & freeze produce, and make easy sauces to freeze all winter. Participants will take home 16 oz jars (4 per person), a sample of salsa, recipe cards, & a spoon and whisk. Three 12 qt stock pots will be raffled off at the end of the workshop!
