VOLUNTEER
VOLUNTEER with groundwork Milwaukee
Thank you for your interest in supporting Groundwork’s mission! We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the hard work and support of our amazing volunteers.
Below you’ll find ways to join us on-land at many of the community gardens and pocket parks we facilitate.
We do require that all volunteers fill out our brief Volunteer Waiver Form to protect your safety, and we ask that all participants be dressed for the weather. We’ll loan you gloves and tools. If you’re joining us for Office Hours this winter to support the indoor season, please contact us at mkegrows@groundworkmke.org

cLIMATE safe neighborhoods
In partnership with Metcalfe Park Community Bridges, Climate Safe Neighborhoods raise awareness and drive outreach on climate disparities in underserved Milwaukee communities.
Climate Disparities: 1. Less trees & canopy coverage, 2. Urban heat islands, 3. Air pollution, 4. Excess Stormwater runoff, 5. Food deserts
If you are interested in aiding your community in being more climate resilient sign up below.
Corporate and Team Volunteerism
Volunteer Some Time
There’s more to Groundwork than meets the eye. The team in Milwaukee works to coordinate efforts across the area and hosts regular volunteer opportunities for more quiet, low impact work, too!
Garden Friends
Sometimes, community gardens need a champion: There are 100 Garden Leaders here who need your support, good advice and participation.
This is a great opportunity for gardeners who have limited time and would like to pop in to help out from time to time!
